Rev. Mitchell D. Tull
Rev. Mitchell D. Tull, Sr. accepted Christ at the age of 12 years old, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Pocomoke City, MD. This charge was placed on several children by our Minister in Charge Pastor Canon. He traveled all over the world while serving for 22 years in the United States Army, upon returning to Maryland Rev. Tull joined Berean Baptist Church, he reconfirmed his relationship with Christ at the age of 46.
He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior under Rev. Dr. John A. Lunn, Sr. leadership. He remembered falling deep into a situation that brought him to the door way of Christ Jesus. On Easter morning of 2000, he gave his life to the Lord once again, and never looked back. He was baptized that same year at Berean Baptist Church.
Rev. Tull’s initial call was to the ministry of Deacon by Pastor Lunn, that was a great ministry, but there was even a greater call of his spirit to do more ministry work. In 2003, he felt a pull of his spirit like never before. He started to hear voices in his spirit, but some people told him it was just from his worldly activities. He felt a great pull of his spirit and asked Rev. Dr. Moyd of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, “How do you know you are being called by God?” He replied, “God sometimes let an older person know of your calling, and you will fill the pulling of your spirit, a restlessness that you can’t avoid”. Mother Barns a mother of the church at that time, was always telling me of my call to ministry. A year later he joined the Ministerial staff at Berean.
His initial sermon was preached during Easter Sun Rise service on 2 April 2004, along with two other ministers. On October 9, 2009 Rev. Tull was ordained by the Rev. Dr. John A. Lunn, Sr. Rev. Tull has been invited to preach at several churches throughout Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, Prisons around Maryland and West Virginia. He is also on the Visitation Ministry and Marriage Ministry.
